The Breakaway Impact Shield represents one of the biggest and most important advances in modern terminal tackle and trace technology. This revolutionary clip is the ultimate solution for distance casting, ensuring your baited hook is held perfectly secure during the cast and cleanly released upon impact with the water—every time.

The neat, foolproof design ensures almost 100% certainty of a clean release, eliminating the age-old worry of whether your hook is still tangled in the clip on the seabed. It also protects soft baits, avoiding bait being smashed during the high-impact stresses of a powerful cast.

Key Features & Benefits:

• Guaranteed Impact Release: The hook is thrown clear instantly upon water contact, ensuring it is never still tangled in the clip on the seabed.
• Bait Protection: The shield design protects delicate or large baits from the severe “smashing” force that occurs when the rig hits the water after a long cast, preserving presentation.
• Foolproof Mechanism: Unlike ordinary clips that rely on leader slackness or luck, the Impact Shield is engineered for a certain, clean disengagement, making it the most reliable system available.
• Optimal Rigging: When setting the hook, it should be held tightly into the clip. You only need to use enough rubber tubing (not supplied) to prevent the shield from moving due to wind resistance, maintaining the most streamlined profile.
• Trace Technology Leader: A trusted, proven system that has become the benchmark for clean, reliable bait release in competition and specimen angling.

Breakaway Proper Pulleys offer a reliable, easy, and crucially, safer way to construct high-performance pulley rigs. This specialized component is designed to eliminate the risks associated with using standard swivels at the high-stress pulley point, where failure can be hazardous.

The core of the design is the fully radiused block, which not only eliminates line kinks but also ensures easy sliding movement for the main line. The use of a dedicated pulley block addresses the key concern that swivels can let go at any time due to wear or manufacturing faults, potentially endangering fellow anglers during a powerful cast.

Key Features & Benefits:

• Safer Pulley Rig Construction: Designed to replace standard swivels as the pulley pivot point, eliminating the risk of sudden swivel failure during the cast, which is a known safety concern.
• Fully Radiused Block: The smooth, rounded design eliminates line kinks and ensures the main line or leader achieves easy, fluid sliding movement, which is essential for the pulley rig mechanism.
• Easy Rig Making: Provides a simple and efficient way to construct durable pulley rigs for targeting large fish from boat or shore.
• Rig Change Connection: Connected using Breakaway’s twinlink for quick and easy rig changes, though it can also be used with an oval or fastlink on the leader for versatility.
• Lightweight Slider: The design allows it to be used as a lightweight slider for various applications in both sea and coarse fishing setups.
• Safety Information: Recommended safe rigs using the clip are thoughtfully included on the rear of the packaging.
• Quantity: Available in packets of 10 pulleys.

The Breakaway Relay Clip is a simple, neat, and highly effective plastic bait clip that offers excellent control and versatility for both single and multi-hook rigs. This inexpensive solution is designed to secure your hook baits close to the lead, providing a streamlined profile for maximum casting distance.

The unique design allows the clip to be semi-fixed to your trace line using the provided rubber tubing, eliminating the risk of accidental clip-off or displacement during a powerful cast.

Key Features & Benefits:

• Secure Semi-Fixed Design: The plastic clip threads directly onto the trace line and is held firmly in place by the supplied rubber tubing. This ingenious method prevents the clip from pulling out during casting, ensuring reliability when you launch your rig.
• Versatile Rigging: Perfect for a multitude of rig styles:
  • Single Hook Rigs: Use them as a standard clip-down point for streamlined casting.
  • Cascade Rigs: Easily adapt them to create ‘cascade’ style multi-hook rigs, allowing you to clip two or more hook baits down one after the other for ultimate distance.
• Neat and Streamlined: The compact plastic design creates a clean, low-profile terminal tackle setup.
• Ready to Use: Each pack is complete with 10 Relay Clips, the necessary rubber tubing, and full instructions for simple setup.
